IAME Hosts 3rd Annual Bruno Grana International Trophy Race

Have you always dreamed of racing on European turf against the world’s finest karters? On June 23^rd/26^th IAME will host its 3^rd Annual Bruno Grana International Trophy race. This is your opportunity to both showcase and sharpen your skills while racing on the prestigious International Circuit of Lavelent in France.

The Bruno Grana International Trophy is a four day event, offering a three class structure. Traditionally, the race centered on the IAME X30 engines only. Due to high demand, a X30 Junior class and X30 Shifter class has now been added to the lineup. All inclusive Arrive & Drive programs are available for each class to all those outside of Europe wishing to compete. Arrive and Drive programs includes; chassis, engine and maintenance service by IAME tech team, 2.5 sets of slick tires, consumables for the race (chain, sprocket, etc.), fuel, oil, transportation of equipment on site, entry fee, experience kart mechanic, lunch for driver and mechanic (Thursday – Sunday) and accommodation for mechanic. With only 6 weeks until the event, prompt replies are necessary to secure your position.

The race is in memory of Bruno Grana, the late founder of IAME. Bruno Grana was introduced to karting in 1959 during a business trip to United States. Mr. Grana had been travelling as the Export Department Manager for the famous motorcycle brand Parilla. Mr. Grana was immediately drawn to karting and flew back home to Italy to convince Giovanni Parilla to enter the market of karting engines. In 1962, Mr. Grana founded the karting company IAME with Parilla as one of its leading brands. The name IAME stands for ”Italian American Motor Engineering”, which highlights that the first market for kart engines originated in the United States. Mr. Grana built a company considered to be a world leader in kart engines and expanded IAME in markets around the world. Mr. Grana who passed in 2005 was passionate, dedicated and forever loyal to the sport of Karting. IAME is proud to name this annual kart race after this legend in karting.
